Back-to-School Health PromotionDepartment of Psychology, University of Missouri-Kansas City, terrel{at}umkc.edu This review discusses school-based health promotion, including evidence-based perspectives on the school's feasibility as a venue for lifestyle risk reduction and disease prevention efforts. Future directions for inquiry and implications for empirically driven public policy initiatives are addressed.
