Florida Hospital-Celebration Health, Celebration, Florida, rebecca.prevost{at}flhosp.org Pharmacists are in a unique position to affect the lives of people living with diabetes. The pharmacist can identify people at risk, screen for pharmacotherapy problems, and give encouragement between physician visits. The medication knowledge that the clinical pharmacist brings to the health care team results in decreased costs, improved glycemic control, and greater adherence to ADA standards of care.
